Prof. Dr. Angela Breitenbach: Kantian Climate Justice
On 19. December, Prof. Dr. Angela Breitenbach will give a lecture on “Kantian Climate Justice”. Angela Breitenbach is a professor of philosophy at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses primarily on 18th-century philosophy, particularly Immanuel Kant, but also on general philosophy of science, philosophy of biology, and aesthetics. In her lecture, she will focus on the contribution that Kant or a Kantian approach can make to our understanding of the climate crisis and climate justice. How can Kant’s principles and categories be applied to ecological issues? And how can a Kantian approach make a constructive contribution to thinking about climate justice?
